The
Talisman Theatre is calling on actors and actresses with
an ethnic background to audition for a production coming
up in June.
Julian
Barnes' novel Arthur and George, adapted for the stage by
David Edgar, features two members of the Edalji family,
brought up in England by an Indian father and Scottish mother.
The
characters are a brother and sister probably both in their
late 20s or 30s. George is a solicitor living with his family,
including sister Maud, in a Midlands village when their
world is shattered by some devastating accusations.
Director
Matthew Salisbury says: “This is a good chance for two actors
to get involved with what should be an interesting show.”
Auditions are informal and open to all. They take place
on Sunday January 29 at the Barrow Road theatre. For more
information contact Matthew Salisbury on 01926 859663.
