Friday
Night is Talisman Club Night
Come along on a Friday evening when we will be arranging
occasional quizzes, play-readings, etc. The bar is always
open and there’s always someone to chat to – or play a game
of Scrabble or draughts with, read the paper, and enjoy
the ambience. Bring your friends and introduce them to the
Tali; new members – come and meet us old hands! Improvements
to the seating and decoration in the bar from early next
year mean a better environment, so come along – it’s better
than the telly!
Friday 24 February .........Challenge your friends to a
game of Scrabble ... or chess ... or something more adventurous!
Friday 2 March ............... Come along for a drink –
and come for another the next day – see information
on the Private View
Friday 9 March ............... See our current production
with plenty of time to join us in the bar afterwards
Friday 16 March ............. Picture Quiz – just for fun!
70th
Birthday of the Talisman
Theatre
The
theatre celebrates 70 years in existence next year and we
want to celebrate this special anniversary with a week-long
Festival showing the breadth of talent associated with the
theatre, taking place in October, from 8th to 13th, immediately
after our special birthday production of Richard III. We are
also planning a special dinner on 20th October at the Holiday
Inn, Kenilworth at which we can share memories of the theatre,
include new members and celebrate 70 years of the Talisman.
Thank you to all those who expressed an interest, and we can
now confirm that this will go ahead on Saturday 20 October
2012 at the Holiday Inn, Kenilworth.
Despite the fact that it seems a long way ahead, we need your
bookings now! If you haven't already booked, please email
june@clemjem.plus.com
and send your £5.00 deposit to Stephen Duckham. You
can contact him on 07817 100483 or send a cheque made out
to Talisman Theatre Company via the theatre.
Ticket price will be £30.00 per person, to include a
3-course meal, welcome drink and entertainment. You can pay
in stages if you wish, or all at once if you feel flush! All
payments please send to Stephen. There will be live music
and the chance to bop, or "cut a rug", or whatever
you want to call it! There will be a bar, stories and anecdotes,
pictures and lots of friends to talk to, so don't delay -
book your tickets now.
