of Jessica James
by Geoff Bamber
Directed by Rosemary Gowers
Jessica James harbours an ambition to live a life of adventure
in the American Wild West and sets out to realise that ambition
fortified by her grandma's homemade blueberry and cinnamon
flapjack. Penniless and using the flapjack as currency,
she reaches the town of Boulder Gulch, deep in the 'Badlands'
of Arizona. Unfortunately Jessica's arrival coincides with
that of the infamous Killer Diller Miller Gang intent upon
robbing the town's bank. The convenient annual holiday taken
by the sheriff of Boulder Gulch sees Jessica volunteered
to take over the job and face up to the outlaws who are
unlikely to be impressed by offers of flapjack. This play
will be performed by the younger youth members.
